They Will Be! Find Out How →

How Much is Enough Protein? Iron? Calcium?

The Answers to all of Your Questions are Right Here.

The Nourished Vegan: A Teenager's Guide was written by me, a mum who went through exactly this.

Backed by university-level nutrition research and endorsed by a Certified Practising Dietitian.... it's the only way she would listen to me.

Recipe books tell you 𝒘𝒉𝒂𝒕 to cook ... This book explains 𝒘𝒉𝒚 you should cook it.

Meal plans tell you 𝒘𝒉𝒂𝒕 to eat... This book teaches you 𝒘𝒉𝒚 you need to eat it.

You have started wondering "is this actually enough"? What does 100% protein and iron look like in a day on a plant-based diet? Let's find out if they are actually prepared to do (eat) what it takes.

Button below takes you to extracts from the book as an example of what you need to eat to get 100% protein and 100% iron in a day. If you can eat this, then you can absolutely do this.👌If on the other hand you work out that you aren't ready for chickpeas and tofu yet, that's okay too! Think of this as a successful experiment. You now know what a healthy plant-based diet looks like and have made an informed decision about whether it's right for you.

Yes let's see if we are prepared to do this 👉

The Dietitian: "Nourished Vegan is the perfect opportunity to start the conversation on plant-based eating without stress or worry. Lynn uses her personal experience and learning to help other families incorporate plant-based eating in a healthy, practical and positive way. I believe it's a geat tool for parents and teens to open communication and nurture relationships." Livana White - Certifiied Practising Dietitian

What you get:

Nourished Vegan teaches the 'how' and 'why' - not just another set of recipes but how vegan nutrition actually works.

That one shift changes everything.
1. knowing where protein, iron and calcium come from
2. what we shouldn't do to stuff things up
3. why it is critical to eat healthy fats

Easy for a teenager to understand.
Practical enough to use for life.

Once your teenager understands this, they can build a balanced meal almost anywhere - at school, at a friend's house, at university, at a restaurant.

The goal isn't dependence on a plan. It's confidence and independence... for both of you.

The Teenager: I am so excited with this book. I know my Mum really doesn't know what to cook for me and I don't really know what I should be eating either... I know I don't want to eat meat anymore and I know I have felt really tired sometimes... these recipes look really yummy and I know they will be good for me and help me feel better and make my Mum happy too.

Google rabbit hole? If you've Googled "vegan iron sources" at 11pm - you're not alone. Most parents in this position have. Google gives you a lot of information. Same with TikTok, Social Media, Tracking apps, meal plans etc. What they don't give you is clarity.

The problem isn't eating only plants. The problem is that you've been handed information without ever being taught the rules that make it useful.

The Mum: I had no clue what food my daughter needed and more importantly was missing out on to achieve and maintain a healthy being. I sought help from a dietitian, my GP, ANYONE that could assist... and noone really had the exact answers I was after for a teenager, until now, until this amazing book.
